Got Guitars?

I did

With my arthritis I don’t anymore

Too painful to play

This was my baby

I don’t own any high dollar guitars. Mostly around $200-$300 range. That being said, if properly setup, intonated etc , they sound great. The last pic is of my PJ bass. Got it on sale for $159 from Musicians Friend. Free shipping. My acoustics are Ibanez ArtWoods the dark colored dreadnought is Mahogany, the other is a Grand Concert body which has a thermally aged Spruce top. It has electronics.

I have played guitar off and on since 1975. I pick them up, get good again then set them down. Always have. They all have hard cases which they are stored in until use.

Will get pics up tomorrow…

Sweet. Gotta love a LP. I had an Epiphone Sunburst around 1980-83.

Your handle tells me you are a fellow picker.

Like the P90s I saw a new Strat from fender that has soap bars. Would be interested to hear how that sounds. They came out with a parallel universve line with different configurations. I have a Squire Tele with twin Humbuckers. - I like traditional the best, but then you get a crazy idea… Kinda like ARs - versatile…

Bought the Ibanez electric in high school.
Epi Les Paul in 2000.
Ibanez acoustic in 2005 and squire Strat 2019BC (before Covid).

Nice. Wish I wasn’t musically challenged. It’s so bad that I have problems even playing the radio…

Here was the rest…

72 Alvarez Yairi (Martin lawsuit headstock) Acoustic Electric. The interesting thing about this guitar is it doesnt have the Yairi headstock inlay, but instead the Alvarez. They didnt want to put their Yairi brand at risk:

74 Washburn (hand made in Chicago) 12 fret (instead of 14) classical:

And my baby:
2003 Martin Custom (based on a 16 series). Has rosewood back and sides, sitka spruce top, d42 Fishman electronics (bridge pickup and mic as well as stereo output), bone bridge and nut, custom (to me frets and action)

Have more that hang on the wall but those are my main ones. Somewhere there are more in cases.

Free guitar tabs, chords, etc. Alice in Chains Nutshell to Johnny Cash Folsom Prison…

Impressive, I had an Alvarez 12 back around 1977, Lost that and 68 fender Precision when I left to join the service. My older brother sold them, probably $50 each. I don’t care, just wish I still had my brother, lost him Christmas 2013…

I don’t mean to brag, but I’ve been known to shred from time to time.

I have one of those burnt orange HH Squire Teles.
Rocken guitar.

Yeah, love Telecaster body, like my traditional the best, but I can get get Gibson SG tone on it, maybe not as much sustain as with a Gibson headstock. They are cool looking, and play great. You don’t have to spend a fortune to get a good guitar.

Is there a name for an Acoustic Guitar with the strings extra-wide-apart ?

For people with fat fingers etc. ?

I just call it a wide neck

They exist…

Yep, my classical has a wide neck. 1.75" iirc.

Noob player here. Saw this Gretsch on sale at GC online last fall and ordered it after watching reviews on YouTube. Need to find some spare time and a local instructor now!
