Due to severe arthritis and impending surgery, I can no longer play guitar
I traded a nice Epiphone’56 Reissue Les Paul w/P90s for an extremely low round Sig P320 9mm for my boys

Nice, I dont have alot of guitar knowledge, but it’s a beautiful one. Those p320’s shoot nice my brother in law just got one, performed real well.

Allen I am really sorry that you can’t play the guitar anymore. My son taught himself to play the guitar and the drums. He really enjoys the peace that playing the guitar gives him. I have the Sig Scorpion AXG and two Sig M17 which are all based off of the P320. I love the platform and it is enjoyable to shoot.

Tempted by the Dagger so they don’t have to share a single 9.
My thumbs are shot. I get quarterly cortisone injections into the first joint. There’s no cartilage left, it’s bone on bone, and there’s multiple spurs.
Eventually, I’ll have at least one trapeziectomy, likely in my left wrist first. If that works, probably follow up with one in my right wrist.
A week ago I helped my oldest do his first brake job on my Jeep. My thumbs still hurt just from pressing the new pads into the abutment clips.
On the bright side, giving up music got me more involved in shooting.
So far my thumbs tolerate loading magazines.

Nice trade. One of these days I will get a Les Paul. Played plenty of them just never owned one.
If you still want to play, check Zager acoustic guitars. Built by Denny Zager in Lincoln, Nebraska. They sell high end and more affordable guitars. There is one, not offered directly through them, but Walmart.com called Easy Play, no sore fingers. It is a Zager, but probably built in Asia for them. It is made for people with arthritis, etc. It has low string pressure design, and silk, not steel core strings except B E strings. They wind their own strings. Really easy to fret and hold chord shapes. I got one for my wife due to her arthritis. It’s really affordable $169. It comes with a soft case, not padded though, a strap, electronic tuner, a stand, extra strings, picks, polishing cloth and free online lessons. Denny Zager is famous for the 1969? record ‘In the year 2525’ by Zager and Evans. By the way if you go to their website, they give away this kit, except with a hard case every week. No other parties will flood your inbox at all.
