Got my Dagger to range finally

Had it for about a week or so with fastfire mounted, and mags loaded. Shot 125 rounds total without a hiccup. No unexpected mag drops, and no pins walking. Had one brass casing roll of my hat brim. This thing is a blast to shoot. If I do anything I might upgrade ejector. As it stands I’m leaving it as is. This seems to be a phenomenal little pistol. Psa hit the mark on the Dagger.

Well I have to ask… Did you kill any crows :joy:

Actually I’ve never killed a crow that I recall. When I was a boy me and my dad were squirrel hunting and were getting bored. He told me to shoot this crow way up in the tree tops. I fired my .22 lever action and missed. He called me crow killer the rest of the day poking fun. He’s gone now, but gave me a love for the outdoors and shooting.

yeah, I would suggest giving your gun a 500+ round break in before changing the ejector. I changed mine early and it didn’t have much effect but after a few hundred more rounds it seems to be calming down with where it ejects to. It’s kinda strange. When I manually eject a round it launches it perfectly but when I fire it is often weak and just bloops it off the side. I blame it more on my reloads.

A dagger trigger will always suck compared to an AKV. Its apples to oranges.

Ironically my Rocks trigger is worse than all 3 of my Daggers.

The AKV is a different beast. That trigger is by far the best in the safe. It doesn’t even feel like an AK. It looks like an AK, It handles like an AK, it shoulders like an AK. Then I pull the trigger and think what the hell is this thing in my hands?

I was so used to my Ruger Security 9 with the internal hammer and an upgrade trigger that the switch to the striker fire and hinged trigger was very noticeable. I upgraded to a Cross Armory trigger and it helped but I just had to get used to the striker trigger. Just a different beast. I have no problem now transitioning from my rifle to the pistol and back but it took a bit of time at the range.

I run a few through it after.

some people do run 556 through after the conversion to remove the lead from 22lr. I usually run 40 gr 22lr copper plated through mine instead of lead to try to prevent the lead build up.

I don’t run LRN through it at all.

I have ran a couple of boxes of steel and aluminum through and steel had a few FTE issues. Aluminum had none at all.

I’ve shot 60 rounds of steel cased 223, but never bought any steel cased pistol. I might buy more steel 223, but only if it was dirt cheap

Shhhh… don’t tell the atf you shouldered it :laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing:

Did the extra dry firing and working the slide loosen up the dagger some? I’m hoping you enjoyed this time.

I have a couple M&P pistols so the Dagger trigger is comfortable for me. I’ve never been a fan of blade type triggers. I’ve tried 8 out of the 10 mags that came with mine, and they worked well. What do you think of the pmag?

PMAG is A+ on AR’s and AK’s they vary on the Glock platform even in Glocks. Why would you blame the gun for the same results as the one it cloned?
