Mike over at H&R is exploring bringing the Handi Rifle back…..with a few changes. Changeable barrels (to include threaded ones), short and long barrels, various caliber, pistol brace and stock options, and stripper receivers to build your own. It wont be the $100 rifle of years ago. He wants to keep it around or under $400.
ABSOLUTELY. This is probably one of the best things that could come out from H&R that a lot of people can actually afford. A handi-rifle in 300BLK with a threaded barrel would be a very big seller I imagine. Interchangeable barrels? Well maybe I’ll be stocking up on them all lol
I would definitely be interested. Especially if some of the caliber offerings were outside of the standard / hunting-focused calibers you find with brands like CVA or Henry. Things like .338 ARC, 10mm, 6.5 Grendel, 9mm, etc.
As a single shot rifle, it needs to come in under PSA’s lowest priced AR. If it’s at $400, it may be hard to get some people to justify a single shot over an AR.
I might be interested as I enjoy my H&R single shot 12ga with some sub-caliber pistol rifled inserts. 9mm & 22lr with only a front bead sight are minute of squirrel accurate to ~30 yards.
It would be nice to stretch that out with a full 16-20” rifle chambered barrel & sights/optic.
Absolutely. Been hoping for this since PSA picked up the H&R brand. Love these guns and would purchase several myself. Be nice to see them in some of the newer calibers (.350 Legend, .450 Bushmaster, etc) as well.
