Is KCI 75 Round Steel Magazine compatible with PSA AR15 lower type 7.62x39 rifles?

I’m thinking about buying a KCI 75 Round Steel Magazine, to go with a PSA AR15 lower and a PSA 7.62 x 39 upper.

Are they compatible ?

The KCi 75 Round mag is the one with the wind up handle.

Is the KCI mag more for the “Zastava” style clone of the original AK47 ?

I’m trying to figure out which magazines are compatible with the more modern rifles that use AR15 lowers, PSA or DPMS style, with the mating 7.62x39 uppers.

That will not work with any ar15 lower. It may work with the KS-47 lower that PSA makes. It also may work with PSA made AKs. Some fitting may be required.

Get the mag. Then you’ll have a good reason to get an AK!

It’s still worth $100, if only to study the Mechanism.

Very Well Engineered.

My idea of High School Education is that the students learn the metallurgical & machining skills so that they can duplicate a KCI 75 round magazine as part of their general education.

Something more educational than making a metal spatula in Shop Class.

Of course I’m sure my parents deeply cherish the Metal Spatula I made in 7th grade shop class at a forced integration middle school in Denver Colorado.

So the young women learn to solder, and the young men learn to make Bearnaise sauce.

No reason they shouldn’t learn how to Cerakote by the time they finish 10th grade.

Of course in California they’d have to drive a truck over the finished item - but at least they would have learned something Real !

Took a second look at an AR15 lower.

The Magpul magazine for a 5.56, is inserted at least 2 inches into the Magazine Well/ Space.

But the KCI wind-up Mag, only extends about an inch.

NO WAY it can fit.

But it’s a well-designed mechanism. Would love to see some firearms artisan adapt the design to something with a longer “business end”, so that ammo is moved the full 2 1/4" into the lower so it can collide properly with the BCG when it moves a round into the chamber.
