Vintage Toastmaster found! My grandmother used one just like this. Cleaned it up, original cord in excellent condition. No cracks in the Bakelite and works like it should. This appliance to me always reminded me of a 1949-50 Ford “shoebox”.
heads up… don’t use a fork to get the toast out if it doesn’t pop up and starts to burn. Don’t ask me how I know…
We can assume how you know! Breaker thrown or fuse blown if it didn’t have a penny!
The original bath bomb haha just kidding.
That’s a sharp looking toaster , back when things were built to last.
neither but my arm still tingles just thinking about it.

man that toaster is a bad ■■■ chrome piece for sure.
i love things from that era
Thats a pretty decent toaster

LOL! And I notice all the PSA stickers on the side of that fridge!
That is just too funny!!!
A bucket of nuts and bolts will entertain me too
I love antique and vintage things too. Fact is - I only have one rifle, and an old German radio set that’s older than I am. ![]()
Eisenhower was President when I was born. My Dad was born in 1917. He served during the entirety of WW2.
When I was a kid, folks were still mad and distrusting of Germany and Japan.
I am still 35 years old at heart, but my knees remind me everyday that I shoulda been done put out to pasture…
Still work full time doing heavy commercial and light industrial electrical work. Young guys at work ask me when I will retire. I tell them - ’ the day after I die…’ ![]()
God bless your dad brother and God bless you for hanging on! I retired Jan 5th this year. I miss my coworkers but l really am enjoying the last chapter in my life.
Eisenhower huh? Me too. Damnit 53-61, Nixon was VP. May l ask what unit your dad served with?
That thing has more chrome than all 2024 F150s combined lol
I honestly do not know. He passed away in 1973 when I was 14. He was an enlisted pilot flying troop transport and cargo planes in North Africa and Italy. After 4 years on the Army he was E5 SSgt, he transfered to the Navy, because they made him a flight officer, (similar to Warrant Officer). He trained as a torpedo dive bomber pilot, but the war was over just about the time he completed training. He became an instructor at Key West Naval Air Station. Some photos of my Dad -
Story told brother and what a story it is!!! Sorry for your loss at a young age. hiSTORY is shared and l thank you! Him and my Uncle Bob could have supported each other? Who knows, same campaigns in North Africa and Southern Europe.
Very cool. They don’t make them like that anymore.
Yeah, that toaster is awesome, I don’t got one like that, but have a 1960 Sears Silvertone Radio that was absolutely pristine until it went under salt water during Hurricane Michael. It comes on, but I need to completely corrosion control chassis , replace parts, grill cloth. I was a radio technician, and can do it. Just have to make time.
