This is exactly what I was trying to explain to a few of your moderators that I private messaged. I hope that my suggestion may be implemented. Right now though remember this, not all of our moderators are PSA employees. Some of the moderators are PSA employees but aren’t really that active on the forum because they are at work. This is a new forum and it takes a little bit to work out the bugs. Some of our moderators are brand new at being a moderators so it is a learning curve for them also. Give this a little time before you throw in the towel and leave. We need evey person with a passion for the 2nd Amendment.
Just so you know I am exactly the same as you. I don’t personally know anyone at PSA. I have only been in a actual PSA store 1 time. I am just another forum member expressing his opinion with moderators and other forum members.
@1911 we are discussing it FYI.
An issue that I see is how quickly a “hard line” is drawn in these type discussions. Open debate is good. Hard lines, where a user comes in solely to bloviate their own opinion, which in their mind is the only opinion, not willing to hear others, etc…all that does is train wreck a thread. It doesn’t allow for dissention (even among same party beliefs), it doesn’t allow open debate, and it doesn’t foster community. It can drive people away actually.
If we try it (and it make take us a week to get all the ground rules laid out, etc), it will probably be heavily moderated. That is something for people to think about before they even post. We have to be mindful that this forum is provided by PSA for the #1 purpose of spreading freedom (see their mission statement) via the support of the constitution and the 2A.
@GuitarGuy and @Brad you both have good points. I understand both of your points of view. I actually agree with both of you. I understand the need to have a forum that doesn’t have a bunch of political grandstanding and people getting on their soapbox. At the same tine I agree with @Brad that you can’t really separate guns and politics. I guess that I am different than some because I do actually listen and consider other people’s opinions. When someone makes a good point that challenges what I believe than I have to consider that point. I do think that along the way some people will leave this forum no matter what PSA does. You won’t ever make everyone happy. The trick is to keep as many people as possible interested and plugged into this forum.
Only puppy videos for me. Have a nice day.
I understand your sentiment, but There’s more than just conservatives here. I have seen and moderated posters here from across the political spectrum. Guns are a human right, not a partisan issue, and the best way to ensure all Americans keep that right is to involve all Americans in practicing that right. If the only voices we have here are from one viewpoint, then it’s an echo chamber, not a discourse. We want to encourage discussion, not arguments and not an echo chamber - those get us nowhere with the people who need to absorb the message.
I understand that this is a PSA forum and that they have to serve their entire customer base etc. But, I have also heard the PSA founder say that he sells freedom. The current administration would love nothing more than to drive up to every facility, manufacturing or retail that PSA owns and padlock it forever.
We can sit back and worry about offending one side, but when we are only “allowed” to sell and own double barreled shotguns remember we brought it on ourselves.

You are preaching to the pulpit. How do you get that message to the people who really need it? Yelling it at those of us who share those sentiments does nothing but confirm our biases.
We hold the founders in such esteem, but we are all cowards in comparison. With the full on frontal assault as you’ve described it, who is taking ACTION to reverse things? No one. Just bloviating (to use your term). Did they simply bloviate amongst each other? No. If they had, we would have never had a republic to begin with.
So you can rightly get upset about censorship, but other than screaming in the wind about it, what direct actions are you taking to (1) get the message outside of the echo chamber, (2) reverse the path of marxism, (3) create a platform of completely uncensored and unfiltered speech that plays predominant host to your views?
Because this platform was not created specifically for that purpose. Some of us are placing way more responsibility on the shoulders of this single gun company, and then erroneously faulting it for falling short of the expectations you’ve created; which is always easier than taking the initiative to do the work ourselves. For all the talk about marxism, anti-marxists sure seem to always fall back on a collective/group/team effort to affect our goals instead of each individual stepping up to put in an equal amount of time, effort, and financial resources to see our goals reached. We just keep paying our $20 membership dues to (insert collective organization), sending Amazon Smile donations to those same collectives, and fighting each other for not being the right kind of conservative or conservative enough.
Yes, PSA’s founder said they are selling freedom. If you want an uncensored, unfiltered forum, buy this one from him and make it more free. Until he tells me to stop moderating an unmoderatable forum, I will continue to moderate. Or just create your own. Sell all your earthly possessions if you must. Do as the esteemed founders did and put everything on the line for your beliefs. Cant do that? Wont do that? Fine. Deal with the moderation of the board created by the guy who has. Or don’t.
Dude you just need to stop, you’ve threatened violence against leftists in multiple posts and said you refuse to have a discussion with anyone who doesn’t view democrats as Marxist. You want this forum to be an echo chamber of your own views. Your posts are edited or removed because you use the same “conservative” talking points but they are extremist views that provide no value to a conversation when you think violence is the only answer to people who don’t agree with you. You also tried deleting your forum account yet here you are, maybe you should just log out. OvEr AnD oUt.
