Jakl Binary trigger

Does anyone know if the Jakl is compatible with a Franklin Armory AR binary trigger? I would’ve assumed yes, but on the similar CMMG Dissent they say you can’t swap triggers necessarily.

i do not know for sure, but knowing the Jakl can use any standard AR15 lower, would tell me that it can use any ar 15 trigger i’d assume.

Someone send me a Jakl and I’ll see if it works. I’ll post results and pictures of me with my, uh I mean “the” Jakl.

Yes it does work. I have one running in my JAKL currently. When I have time to make it to the range I can make a video and post it.

I’m assuming you must have a Franklin trigger as I can’t see how you’d make an Echo ARII work with it, which is really disappointing.

welcome to the forums @XAVIERMACE since the jakl works with any standard ar lower, i’d assume any binary trigger that would work in an AR15 would work in a jakl, but i do not have one, nor a binary trigger, to try it on so i have no proof of this.

Thanks!

The problem isn’t the lower, it’s the upper. The rear of the upper receiver has a much larger solid section than a standard AR receiver and this section doesn’t clear the trigger lock of the Echo II, thereby preventing the upper receiver from dropping into place. Even if it did close, I don’t think the design of the bolt would allow it to engage the trigger lock, but I could be wrong about that.

Sorry, I’m only allowed one media per post.

Yes I have a Franklin binary. Since it doesn’t need the BCG to trip a lever back by the take down pin it cycles fine with the JAKL. The problem with FCGs that require a trip from the BCG is the bolt in the JAKL doesn’t interface the same.

franklin comes with a buffer spring, that doesn’t need to be changed?

i wish psa would bring these lowers back, i need one really badly

I also would like to know more about binary JAKLs!

The meme lowers were a 1 time run.

Not on this platform. The stock spring is working fine. The reason the spring in the AR-15 platform is changed with the Franklin armory BFS is to fix the timing when firing to help prevent hammer following that can happen especially with the first gen triggers

I have a Franklin armory BFS in the JAKL and it works flawlessly. The only thing the BFS needs is the hammer to reset the same way it resets under normal operation. The JAKL is designed to function to interact with standard AR-15 fire control groups in the same exact way.
