This is by far best PSA purchase to date. The Magpul zhukov stock is VERY STURDY/SOLIDLY BUILT. I am confident it would withstand any impact and would not worry about it getting damaged in a butt stroke situation.

it doesnt look bad, and if its hella more sturdy than the triangle or the f5 it may be worth the $ changing over to it.
I’ve seen a lot of people complaining that the “ACR” style stocks are flimsy, have some play and feel “cheap”. The Zhukov stock has zero play, no movement when folded and when extended, feels very sturdy. I wish there were some cheek riser accessory options out there though.
i’ve heard the same thing about the F5 stocks being called that as well. I hate to hear that as they are not cheap, and honestly look bad ■■■. perhaps they need psa to take over and make them out of a proprietary polymer concoction that would be more sturdy?
The Z stock is made by Magpul not PSA but I get what you are saying. The F5s are definitely not worth what’s being asked for. Bad overall design. Not a polymer issue. If so, alloy metal may be a possible solution but I doubt it. Would only increase cost and weight but have still rattle and wiggle issues.
There are options for cheek risers that will fit the Zhukov stock.
I’m not interested in the ones I’ve seen so far. They attach too far forward on the stock. I’m looking for a riser that attaches to the rear portion of the stock, the part that slides back when adjusting the pull length. Have you seen any like that? if so, where?
I put a zhukov on my gf3, its legit no slop. I also put a libsaver buttpad on it, Comfy like a cadillac.

There really isn’t room to attach a riser to that portion of the stock, it has to go forward of the mobile part. This is what the Magpul ones look like. Is that too far forward for you?
Nice AKV … I’ve got one too! That is the only Zstock riser I’ve seen online. What I’m wanting, and I may have to fabricate it myself, is something attached where the QD sling mount holes are located on the corner of the stock. Then it would slide with the stock when the pull length is adjusted.
BTW, the riser on that AKV is the 0.5", they also make a 0.25" and 0.75". I have Zhukov’s on all my AK variants for commonality of arms and they all have 0.5" risers.
hehehe. ok, well the F5 stocks are not made by psa either. i think its both polymer and design issue. but im not an enginner either so what do i know.
Oh and if you design a riser for your Zhukov, in a format that is 3d printable, hit me up. I have an excellent printer and can print it for you.
How is the riser attached to the stock? Is there any retaining pins or is it just snap on?
What would you need as far as format. Would a design with dimensions work to get a 3d printable object? Or would it require more technical details? I’m not an engineer or have experience with 3d printing.
No pins, it just snaps on.
Format would be .stl or .obj from a CAD program like TinkerCad or Fusion 360.
