I have 2 KS-47 rifles and was thinking about reducing the trigger pull weight. Has anyone done it? If so …which springs did you use? PSA doesn’t show any options.
Just get a new trigger. ALG makes a great single stage, LaRue, Geissele, and even PSA make 2 stage. PSA EPT is also a good single stage.
I bought a Dirty bird trigger spring kit. It dropped my pull weight from 7.4 to 4.1 in just a few minutes. Well worth the money. Swapped out only the trigger pull spring and left the hammer spring alone. Works flawlessly.
My KS47 came with the PSA EPT trigger. I’ve tried to find a reason to add a nice 2 stage trigger to it. The issue is the EPT is a very decent mil-spec trigger that in no way offends me. I think it’s on an ALG triggers level. (I think on one of my guns I put an ALG QMS trigger in it) It’s a pretty good trigger. While most good 2 stage triggers are nicer IMHO, is it worth the $ to get a little bit better trigger, and to replace a part of the gun that I don’t feel needs replacing on what I intend to use my KS47 for.?.? Still I like to mod things, and my favorite sub-$100 trigger (LaRue MBT2) would be an improvement I’m sure, plus it looks cool, and I like the wide flatness of it.
I just personally like the no creep wall of a 2 stage. I have them on all my guns now.
