I’ll second that for a 16” mlok assembly.

Yes been sitting on my lower for 7 months

What’s the update on uppers .???

We are working on getting more made. I do not have an exact date yet.

Unfortunately, the supply chain is for gun parts is fked up. We’ll have to put the upper together ourselves. Get the LAR-47 BCG, gibbzarms receiver, and any AR 762x39 barrel and put that together. Bam, you have your upper. Easy? No. Officially recommended? No. But it’s the only option we have right now unless you wanna keep the KS47 lower as a paperweight.

As with any gunsmithing, do so at your own risk.

@Josiah_PSA hey man any idea when we’ll see some ks47 bcgs back in stock or an eta for 10.5 7.62x39 barrels? Got a complete lower, and Gibbz arms upper I’d like to finish.

I’ll see what I can figure out for you.

Hey man any luck?

I’m trying still trying to get an ETA, I know they are working on the new BCG’s to fix the extractor issues, but I haven’t been able to get a timeline on when they should be in yet.

OH LOOK!!! 6 complete lowers in stock! And still not an upper or even an upper component to be seen. I am sure PSA is working on it though. No idea on eta I am sure.

Gibbz arms has the side charging uppers back in stock but then your back to trying to get a bcg and barrel

Yeah it is looking like I will have to go a different route than PSA. Seems ridiculous to me they perpetually have half a dozen lowers in stock but have absolutely nothing to ever make them function.

I’d love to see some psa parts back in stock but I’m also impatient lol. I ended up ordering an mgi hydra bolt carrier, (RRA lar47 bolt, extractor, and ejector), bcm extractor upgrade, right to bear enhanced firing pin and gas rings, rubber city armory adjustable gas key, and a faxon arms 10.5 gunner profile barrel (gonna have to modify feed ramps from m4 to ak style). Slr rifle works 10 inch ion lite mlok and slr sentry adjustable gas block. Sprinco orange ar-10 spring, strike industries adjustable buffer, and a Spikes tactical dynacomp rounds out the parts list

It’s gonna be a bastard build to the T. I’d like to add a psa bolt to the parts pile for a backup, but I can at least be tinkering and tuning the gun while I wait on them to come back in stock. If you order the MGI carrier they put you on the list to notify when the bolt is back in stock also. Rock river is building their stuff on an as ordered basis. Quoted like 7-10 days.

It is possible to have a standard AR BCG milled to work with x39. That was the route I took. I bought a 7.62x39 off a guy( more for the ammo that came with it than anything else), I had the barrel lugs ground by a friend, I got a Gibbz side charger( which saved me from having to buy a Devil Dog Concepts Hard Charger Tactical system and modifying it, like the one on my PSA 10.5" KS-47). I then sent the BC off to a machinist in SC to have it milled down, which cost me $50( a little more if the BC is treated), and then I reprofiled two lugs on the bolt. Used the innards of the AR for the KS and presto… a great 16".
It can be done and it’s not real hard, though I admit I am interested in seeing these changes PSA has made to the extractors. I know BCA has polished some and taken the edges off, but I don’t have any first hand experience with them.

You by chance still got the contact info for the machinist in South Carolina?

Yeah, I used Paladin Machine Service in Kershaw SC. Forget what a Bing search says, he doesn’t have a website. I called to check he wasn’t covered up and let him know what I was looking for. He’s a great guy and has a lot of knowledge on ARs. Make sure to tell him you want the “AK cut” on your BCG. If you are sending a treated BCG he does charge a little more as he said they dull mill bits. Then just throw the BCG in a USPS flat rate box, with a card showing what you want and a return address(plus payment if using money order or check). It took around two weeks to get it back and it’s really good work.

I haven’t given his number and address, because I’m not sure what the mods would consider doxing, but you should be able to find all that with a search. If not DM me.

Appreciate it :+1:t2: Probably gonna pick up a back up to swap in

Looks like the complete rifles are shipping with the new updated bcg’s. Still out of stock on the bcgs by themselves though

@Josiah_PSA @Joshlovesguns will y’all be selling BCGs or barrels on their own? Or maybe grouped together. I see you guys have the stripped upper/lower with the BCG, but I’m interested in just the BCG and barrel if that will be available
