@SuperPredator needs to post the lever gun his cousin built. I got the chance to meet his cousin. Stand up guy and a 2a enthusiast. May he RIP.
I usually do not like non traditional stuff on a Lever Action Rifle, or vintage Battle Rifles. But I can see the practicality of synthetic stock/butt and rails on a carbine length lever action for inclement weather and or strapped to an off road hunting buggy.
As for the look, itâs off-putting to me, being a traditionalist, but Iâm sure it would appeal to the younger, utilitarian/tactical folks.
There are several âoff the shelfâ tactical lever action rifles out there. It seems like everyone is getting in on the Lever Action trend, both traditional and tactical.
I would love to have a side gate large bore lever action, but I want a long barrel. I once had a Marlin .30-30, and it was a carbine length saddle gun. I donât intend to shoot horseback though, I think the shorter ones are definitely useful, but I like the look of the longer barreled ones. The little Henry .22 I have is 20â, but comes in a 24â version. I figured it might be a little front heavy though and compromised between 16â and 24â.
That being said, I second the motion of seeing Super Predatorâs rifle. I am sure that it is something to behold.
Good morning yâall. Hope itâs a great day for all of us.
Think yall in the wrong threadâŠ.
Donât judge me! And I ainât deleting my well wishes, wrong thread or not. ![]()

Agreed, and may he rest in peace. I do also love that rifle he built. quite awesome. I hope that superpredator will post it up.
thats cool cause of the octogon barrel. makes you think its real real old âŠ
I like the look of the historical rifles, but at the same time i am a very big enthusiast when it comes to tactical rifles too..
I think the companies from a financial standpoint have to look to the future and add tactical stuff to them in order to keep the newer younger crowds interested in the older lever technology in order to keep sales going ..
I have a marlin 30/30 lever myself, and i need to really measure the barrel to tell you how long it is.. but i bet its a carbine length. as i really dont think its very long.
Getting one of these soon for squirrels. Used my buddies last year and was the bees knees, canât miss with that thing.
I have a small rossi .22 pump, but im thinking i may want a .22 lever myself. they do seem to be a lot of fun that is for sure.
Last New Yearâs eve at one of my neighborâs. His wife bought him 2 Henryâs in 45.70 and 45 Colt for Christmas!!! The 45 Colt was a blast to shoot, 45.70 is still unfired, what a gorgeous rifle.
