New AK-P and new to me AK-104

Yep, it’s been a crazy week! I’m new here and have been searching the forum to know if the Ak-p railed dust cover can be installed on my AK-104. I plan to keep the AK-P as a pistol with the brace but not sure what I’m going g to do with the 104. It’s just 1.25 inches short of 16” with the factory muzzle device. I’m looking at a similar Barwarus device which will take it to 16”. Regarding the dust cover, I have failed to find a definitive answer.

welcome to the forums @jerry.putnam we’re glad to have you on our forums.

i believe the railed dust cover can be installed on your ak104 by removing the rear sight, that is the place that the dust cover uses for a hinge. thats my thoughts as long as they are the same length.

Not sure I’d whack the rear sight apart but remove the rear sight and check, should take maybe ten minutes.

Old but good info here for other options. I use the side mount as it is quick release for cleaning and I use an old russian scope not a red dot. Not sure about the gas tube mount.
