Are there any AK side mounts that will work with PSA picatinny dust cover? I have a 104 with side rail & pic dust cover but the RS regulate mount I have is too short on height to get optic over the pic rail dust cover which is just a little taller than normal dust cover.
Maybe the Midwest Industries one? Not sure as i use the dust cover on my 104. Holds zero fine for my red dot.
I haven’t found an option that works well or looks good with the picitinny dust cover. The picitinny dust cover is a decent option for mounting optics but i have had several issues with the dust cover screw coming out while shooting. My future purchases will be standard dust cover and RS Regulate mount. I have 2 rs regulate mounts and thou they can be expensive and hard to find they are vastly superior to the hinged/railed dust cover. If they put 2 screws in the thing it might work. Or build it like zastava but better. Id just mount on the pic rail if i were you. Make sure the screw is locktited or rockset in place.
The dust cover on the 102 I received moves side to side and up and down. No way this thing holds zero on an optic. Terrible design. Also having the same issue that while I have a side rail on the rifle, the railed dust cover is too tall to mount a side mounted scope rail. What a turd. The concept is great but execution, once again, is terrible.
