New C1 Slide is this normal?

in all seriousness, the firearms i received that were dirty ran super smooth after i cleaned them on their first range visit, so much so with two specifically that i would never part with them and one was a “blem”

from the photos you shared, a new slide and barrel should never arrive like that. I wish we had a CS person here to assist, but your best bet will be to call again im afraid.

Ha!! That solves it.

Yea it was after hours last night so I just sent an email and didn’t want to call today because I was patiently waiting to hear back…… But nothing all day so I’ll be calling first thing in the morning.

I’m guessing I might actually get a CS person that actually wants to do their job and get it taken care of tomorrow. The last CS I had from PSA on the phone for a refund was top notch.

That slide is very dirty and in bad shape. The slug on the striker looks chipped bro. That slide have seen at least 400 rounds or so. That is crazy that they sent you that crap, it has to be a mistake.

I never checked the product pages for the micro’s, so never knew about even the standalone slides being fired. Still, I wouldn’t consider that to be “some use”.

every barrel and slide will be shot, yes as a test… but that is like 10k worth of shooting… it had to be a mislabel package or mis package and the thing should not have been sent out at all… Im sure PSA will make it right, they’ll send you another, and it will be brand new.

Lets see what @sean.psa or @Josiah_PSA think.

I keep looking at it and you are 100% correct bro. It has gunk all the way inside the striker, it is caked on. The slug on the striker has a big chip, probably cause by rapid rate of fire, ie switch. They owe him a 1000 rounds brick as an apology and a new slide for realz.

Man would that be awesome!! But really I just want the new slide I paid for.

My barrel after 250 rounds and ~1000 hand cycles for reference

Yeah your barrel shows well loved usage. the one he received shows well used and abused lol… i honestly think it was an accident that it shipped to him… someone put down the slide and barrel accidentially in the wrong place, and it got shipped as being a new one. thats the only thing i can figure/ guess… now i dont know the procedures in psa as to know when it got swapped or put in accidentially, but its apparent to me thats what happened.

Just got off the phone with PSA CS, she was very pleasant, but not much she could do on her side besides send a request/reminder to the warranty depart to answer my previous email. So, still in holding pattern on this issue.

I feel like this really shouldn’t be this hard to get fixed :man_shrugging:t2:

The admins here are working on it for you also.

Oh, didn’t know that. Really appreciate it guys.

You are in good hands with these guys and PSA will make it right for you. That’s just how they are @KRoyal

LOL What does this even mean??? I guess he got the reminder to respond to my email and this is what I got.

As stated in my previous email the Micro Dagger platform is tested prior to leaving the facility. You cannot compare the Micro to the Compact platform being that one platform is far newer than the other.

So to prevent this from getting out of hand I am going to close this topic for now. The admins have been in touch with PSA and are awaiting the answer that is going a different route. Once we hear that any of us can then reopen this thread.

The goal here is to get an answer for @KRoyal and I don’t want this to become a dogpile so that this one particular case can be focused on.
