New PSA Custom AK Picatinny Stock Adapter for AK-V

Hello guys, trying to finally modify the AK-V to have a side folding brace and ordered the PSA custom AK picatinny stock adapter, the one that fits the male puzzle piece, a week ago when they came in stock. Unfortunately, the part isn’t working and does not look like what is pictured in the photo on the online store. I’ve tried to search and see if PSA has any other similar picatinny end plates they carry and all I’ve come across is this one specific part that I ordered. I was thinking maybe they made a mistake, but the UPC code matches to what I ordered.

Wondering if anybody has any ideas, before I send back and re-order just to get the same part that doesn’t fit. Thank you!

Welcome aboard. Did you watch the video on the product page for the AK-V. I don’t have a good enough connection to verify but iirc it may be helpful to you.

Yes, the install should be pretty straight forward, but it appears this part is completely different from anything PSA has available which is where I am stumped.

I bought one for my AK-47.
I can take some pics tonight when I get home with cover off.

Thats the rear trunion. Open the dust cover, remove 2 screws and put that in its place. Now you have a pic rail on the back.

That doesnt need the puzzle piece.

I did exactly what GG said above for the install.

So this is what it looks like when I got the buffer tube off. There’s a way to remove this male puzzle piece thats still attached?

Is this pocket not milled out on your adapter?

That’s from the video on the product page.

Looks like the one he has does not have the hole like the one in the video.

Wouldn’t it be on the bottom of that pic? With the shadow I can’t be sure.

hey guys, this is correct, the part in question does not have that slot for the piece to index into. That is the issue in hand. I tried to receive insight from PSA but they just sent me a return label thingy to send it back. Without knowing how I was sent this thing, as it doesn’t appear this part i received is listed on their store anywhere, I’m wondering if I won’t just be sent the same exact part if i re-order..

I think it was a QA escape.

Wondering if mine has the slot cut out.
I can take it apart later after work.

You dont need the puzzle peice with a folding stock.

How old is this AK-V?

Mine has the slot opening.
