No updates on PSA AR-15 order after 15 business days

Ordered the PSA 16" 5.56 rifle this black friday (11/29), I received an e-mail that it was ready for pickup (had it shipped to the Myrtle Beach store) on 12/11. However, when I went to the store 12/12, they said that their system was sending out e-mails erroneously & that they haven’t received it yet. I tried calling 12/19 and they still weren’t able to locate the rifle in store. Beginning to worry with the system errors that my order may be marked as shipped but hasn’t physically made it onto a truck.

I’d be happy to provide my order number or any other details if anyone is able to look further into the matter. I’ve received all of the furniture and ammunition I’ve ordered with no issues, just waiting on the rifle itself. The link below is the rifle I ordered.

PSA 16" Mid-Length 5.56 NATO 1/7 Nitride 15" Lightweight Hex M-Lok Classic Rifle | Palmetto State Armory

I’d guess something is not right with this order, call PSA customer service and get it sorted out. Last Saturday I ordered a complete upper from them and it was at my door in 4 days. I understand it’s the holidays and most likely PSA is very busy, but I would call them directly and get it sorted out. Hope you get it soon!

Unfortunately CS isnt on the forums. I can see if anyone is in the office Monday for you.

Appreciate all of the responses – I have tried calling both the gun counter at the Myrtle Beach store as well as the customer service line, neither have been able to tell me much other than that their system is experiencing issues. Trying to remain positive and patient, I realize they’re processing thousands of orders (& rightfully so, the black Friday deals are great). Just beginning to worry with the combination of longer than projected wait time & system glitches.

@GuitarGuy I responded to your message with the requested information, I appreciate your help. Let me know if there are any additional details you need to look into it further.

Because your rifle is a serialized firearm, it had to be shipped to an FFL. When I lived in Beaufort, I ordered several serialized lowers that were shipped to the Ridgeland store. It was my experience that once I received the shipping notice that it did not mean the item was available for pick up the same day. The store had to get the item in its system, which usually took more than one day. I’m not surprised that it was not available for pickup the next day, as it may not have physically arrived or may not have made it into the store’s system. I would usually wait a few days after receiving the shipped notice to go by the store to pick up my item, as I found the store may or may not contact you to let you know your item is available for pickup. You may want to take another trip to the Myrtle Beach store to see if it is in fact there.

My past experience has been that it is very difficult getting anyone in the Ridgeland store to answer the phone. The same may be true for the Myrtle Beach store, which is why I recommend making another trip to the store.

FYI, I have never had an item I ordered from PSA show with a status of Delivered - only as Shipped. As for non serialized items shipped directly to you via UPS, the shipping date is the date the item was placed in the UPS trailer, but not necessarily the date the trailer was picked up by UPS. I don’t know what that date means for items shipped to a store, although it is my understanding that they are shipped in a PSA truck. The mods may be able to confirm that.

I’ve actually passed a PSA truck on I-26 heading back to Cola from the Greenville store.

Ive passed on the necessary info. Hope to have you an answer Monday.

@Potato.oss i sent you a PM. Your gun is there and i sent the name of the person to ask for.

Just to update the thread…he has his rifle in hand.

Very appreciative of all the help. Got all the furniture installed, was fun doing a trigger job for the first time on an AR-15 with the flu
