Question about Lower Order

I ordered my first lower from PSA on Sep 10th and my order still shows processing on the 15th. My recent PSA orders have shipped pretty quickly to my house, so I just want to confirm no additional activity is required on my part.

I selected a FFL from PSA’s list and verified the FFL is still in business  the shipping address for the order shows the correct FFL.

I don’t have a problem if it simply takes a few extra days or if PSA shipping is delayed by a surge of orders; I just want to ensure I did not miss a step.

Thanks

Andy

You should probably contact customer service - they can tell you specifics. However, I suspect it will ship soon and I don’t think they ship/process orders on weekends.

You ordered on Friday…2 weekend days don’t count. So it has only been 3 business days and the gun industry is super busy. It will go out, no worries.

Give it a little time. It sounds like you’ve done all you need to.

As long as I did not miss an obvious step in the order process, I don’t want to take up customer service time.

I think PSA shipping had spoiled me, especially this year.

oh Andy, I know I know! Longest damn 5 days! I always seem to order stuff on the weekends and it takes soooooooo looooooong! feal for ya bro, just think about when it finally does ship and you need to trust that shipping company for soooooooooo loooooooong!!! @Andylate Serialized items can take up to 7-10 business days depending on how busy we are. PM me your order number, and I’ll take a look at it to make sure everything is ok for you.

Thank you, Josh. I sent an IM. The time range you sent is good info as well.

I’ve had stuff ship as fast as two days, and as long as 7 days. Business days…

Ya just roll with it, you know they’re doing their best… :+1:t3:

Just hope your FFL is as good as mine - I usually get a call the same day my transfer arrives, the next day at the latest. I have a coworker whose FFL would take up to a week for no apparent reason other than out of stupid pettiness because he didn’t buy through them.

I have honestly been lucky, not just with PSA, most of the gun stuff that I order is delivered quickly. I don’t know if Josh sprinkled a little magic powder or what, but a shipping label has been created for my lower since I posted the question today.

The short answer to my question is that the lower receiver (and by extension firearm) order process is just as simple as it seems. PSA does a MASSIVE amount of business, so they are practically guaranteed to have an close FFL to select.

Josh indicated 7-10 business days is possible during peak times for serialized items, and I can live with that.

I am also lucky that a solid FFL/LGS was available to select and they do $25 transfers. I am pretty sure I will spend more than that when I pick up the lower though

Thank you

Andy

I know i wish I lived nearby so I could frequent the actual store. Would be awesome.

I hate that

you have no idea.

oh it is… it is also putting those of us who do slowly into the poor house and also causing for many divorce lawyers to get rich in our AO. LOL

We’re a registered FFL with PSA. From my experience they have everything they need to ship the lower as soon as they are able. Might not be a bad idea to contact customer service if you have additional concerns, but as long as the website said their registration is in good standing you should be in the clear. Hope it shows up soon and have fun building!

I ordered a lower and after not getting it for over 3-weeks I tried contacting customer service. I filled out the contact form several times and never got a response. It is impossible to get through by phone and I tried the chat feature on the website several times to no avail. I finally got an email telling me that they had forwarded the FFL to the proper dept. and told them to cancel the order. Terrible customer service.
