Is anyone else here experiencing optics planet charging you for your order, and then finding out two weeks later that you won’t be getting it for 6 months???
Yep. I placed one order and it was delivered within days. Second order was placed in October and I am still waiting on it. Meanwhile, they have been holding my money ever since.
It’s been a known issue with them for years. You have to pay attention as to whether the item is in stock or not.
that’s the crazy part, it said the item was in stock. I’m not sure what else to do other than call them to verify, and as a web developer, it’s crazy that customers would have to do that still with all the commerce services around.
It’s probably a drop ship model. A lot of folks are going to that (basically what Amazon does also). When you have multiple places involved, things are not always up to date.
I know from experience that you cancel the order, receive a refund, and take your business elsewhere. Sure is frustrating, and I personally will not shop with them again for this reason.
yep, i go in and cancel the order and modified a new order or better yet call them and cancel, then you can complain to them about their shoddy policy… you need to check/click on the availability option under each product and that will tell you if they are in-stock
I placed an order back in November for 300 fmj 9mm for $99. I am still waiting for delivery, but I do not want to cancel it. My dad placed the same order in Sept and he is still waiting. But its a good deal, if they ever ship them out.

Same here, but if you look at the bottom it says in stock or the time it will take to be shipped
When I noticed that my order was backlogged for that item I canceled it and they refunded my payment.

I’ve gone to their website several times looking for scopes, I never find what I want at a price I’m willing to pay. I end up back at Natches every time.
Yeah natches is a solid place, I’ve been using botach and joe bob outfitters for a lot more stuff recently too

That is my solution to the problem as well.
Doesn’t always work. Placed an order for an in stock item in Nov. Still hadn’t gotten it in January, so I called them. They refused to cancel my order because it was “being prepared for shipment”. Called them back two weeks later and they said it was still “being prepared for shipment” (mind you, they had charged me immediately after I placed the order in Nov). Then I disputed the charge with my credit card company and they finally cancelled it and gave me a refund.
Note there is usually a 90 day limit for disputing a charge, so this may be a tactic to wait that period out.
Yeah they’ll ship it after the ammo prices go back down and it’s not a good deal anymore.
I’ve heard that from other people too, but somehow I’ve had good luck with botach. I think it’s because I get small items usually
