Order confirmation

I made an order & was charged on Feb 18 but still haven’t received an email regarding said order. I checked out as guest so can’t see status via my account either. Please help.

Unfortunately customer service is not on the forums.

You can look at this thread

But the biggest issue i have seen with this type of situation is incorrectly inputing your email address.

Try checking status with your order number. I always take a screenshot of order number just in case before I sign out/leave page.

It doesn’t appear that Customer Service is on email either. They haven’t responded to any of my emails in the last two months. Best suggestion is to phone them. You may have to wait on hold for awhile.

60% of the CS dept was out with covid in January. Despite just increasing the dept’s size, they are still backlogged.

Heck, like 25-percent of this Forum had the Covidy in Januari….

I can appreciate staffing issues, but PSA needs to be more transparent about its Customer Service problems. When you submit a query online, you get a return email that says they will get back in 3 business days. In my instance, numerous inquiries have been ignored over the past two months. They could at least modify their auto response to provide a more realistic response time or tell us why they are having problems.

My issue involves the the sales tax rate they are charging for online orders shipped to my address. I had messaged Joshua about the issue before he left, after getting no response from CS. He was going to mention it to someone at PSA, and I am sure he did, but nothing has changed. My county sales tax rate (state and local) dropped back to 6% on January 1st after a 1% transportation sales tax expired. I don’t know why PSA hasn’t adjusted it. Most companies subscribe to a service that keeps them updated on local sales tax rates.

I can’t speak to their CS, just relaying what I know. As for the sales tax, that is a HUGE issue that is not totally on PSA. We have 50 states with various laws, who knows how many counties with even more, etc. There is no possible way for PSA (or any company for that matter outside of those in the specific county) to know about law changes and to keep everything up to date. Its just not possible.

We are starting to get off topic here, but as I posted earlier, that is why companies that sell mail order products online subscribe to a service that keeps their tax calculator current, so I differ with your statement that there is no way possible for any company to keep their systems up to date. In my instance, I have also sent PSA documentation of the sales tax change.

I don’t know if PSA uses such a company or not. I can’t speculate or assume that even with such a company all changes are made immediately.

@Pluff_Mud I’m gonna tag @Josiah_PSA on this to see if he can help you. As much as I wish taxes were cut and dry when it involves firearms and ammunition it isn’t. I can’t dive to much into our tax assessment programs but what I can say is that its very complicated and takes weeks if not months of sifting through legislation to get the correct percentages applied to the correct skus. I would still recommend contacting our Customer Service team at customer.service@palmettostatearmory.com to assist you.

After waiting on hold for some time I talked to a rep who informed me that my email was off by one letter. Unfortunately only half of the order got shipped to my FFL since I didn’t upload credentials. Kind of disappointing… they were all items that require FFL transfer so not sure why they shipped some items & wanted me to upload same FFL info for others…
Anywho thanks for the timely replies & suggestions.

The email being wrong has been what i have seen 95% of the time with these inquiries.

Thanks Anthony. I don’t know what kind of system PSA is using for ordering online, but there are a number of services that integrate with your software that will compute sales taxes based on the address. They stay on top of the tax changes, so you don’t have to. I live in Beaufort County, SC. We no longer have a local sales tax, as our 1% transportation tax expired. There are no other sales taxes to my knowledge, and I have sent documentation to Customer Service numerous times. I don’t mind paying my share tax. I could drive to the Ridgeland store to make purchases, but Jasper County raised its combined tax rate to 9%, and I don’t get any services from Jasper County. I have been submitting info to Customer Service since the beginning of the year using the online form. I get an acknowledgement of receipt each time. I’ll try the email. Thanks again.

Stuff I order from PSA usually takes about two days to ship or sooner. My recent exception was a complete Dagger, which took about 15 days until it shipped. My buddy was freaking out about it. I knew I was going to get it and wasn’t sweating it. I understand the frustration, though. I just enjoy a good deal and don’t worry about how long it takes usually.

My PSA order status has been “confirmed” for 2 weeks. Has it shipped or why hasn’t it shipped. Order 12116420479

@edwar427 Customer Service is not on the forums. Depending on what your ordered you are still in the window for shipping times. Please be aware of the recent phone internet issues we have had in the midlands lately including the ATF’s NICS system being down last week.
