I’m thinking that the gas block is interfering with one of your attachment screws? I have had to grind the screw shorter for clearance on the short hand guards.
I’ll second this as the most likely. If you look into the M-LOK slot where the screws go for the AFG, see if the gas block is there. If so, either move the AFG around, or cut a screw short. Hopefully you can get it to work, but you really do not want to screws to touch the gas block or it will cause all sorts of weird accuracy issues from having a barrel with some load on it, as well as scratches and damage to the gas block itself. If you can’t move it around, then you might end having to get a different foregrip, unfortunately.
I believe the gas block has nothing to do with it and for that, it’s my fault for not explaining it clear enough.
The issue I am running into is the afg2 rail adapter seems to be longer than my the actual mlok rail. One of the screws does not line up and overflows so I am curious if I can purchase a shorter rail adapter and I guess that will do the trick?
I added one of these (well, a pic rail version) to the side of the handguard on my VRF14… it helps make a short-barrel 12ga “hip shooter” into a “cheek gun”, without a punch in the teeth.
