Hey guys, I recently scooped up one of the PSA Custom drop in triggers to try out in my Jakl. Worked amazing for the first 100 rounds and now the trigger seems to be stuck in the locked back position and when I pull the trigger the hammer never releases its just stuck. From what I can see there’s nothing in the trigger housing jamming it and I have no idea what caused the issue. Any ideas? Trigger is like 2 days old… help?
100 rounds is nothing, that’s a good little first range trip break-in/getting a feel for the trigger. If you have enough space, I would be examining every bit of surface on the hammer/disconnector. Feel any burrs? Is the disconnector spring in place, and not kinked or stuck down? Did you notice any difference while firing, trigger pull getting heavier? Trigger reset getting super gritty or sluggish? Was there any failure to fire that weren’t light primer strikes?
Nothing, runs running perfect then literally the trigger will now not move an inch, no burrs, no nada, looks perfect. Just literally will not budge a millimeter which is why I’m so confused. No light strikes nothing.
Looks dry. Have you lubed it?
Just from looking at the photo, I would say it’s going to be an issue with the disconnector and the sear on the hammer. Looks like it’s already reset itself, but there must be a tolerance or burr or something else that’s not allowing those two to function completely. If I were you, I would rip the trigger group apart, inspect everything and see what I can find. Worst case, you can hope on PSA website (customer service is NOT on these Forums) and talk with a rep and get some help returning it for inspection and correction.
