Sealing Plate for RMR on Dagger

Would anyone be able to tell me if a sealing plate is needed to mount an RMR on a Dagger? I would GUESS not since its a direct mount to the slide, but I’m not certain. Also, not sure if I should get 1 anyways just to protect what is a substantial investment in an optic.

Thanks in advance for any info/input!

No. Just make sure the optic footprint and slide footprint are the same.

Ok, cool. Yeah, I’m considering an actual Trijicon RMR, so I’d imagine optic & slide will line up correctly as far as fitting is concerned. Just wasn’t sure about the whole sealing plate thing. You’d think that for $450-$500 for 1 of the best/most indestructible optics on the market, they woulda made a BOTTOM for it & also FINALLY come out with a model with a side loading battery. If anything keeps me from getting 1, it’ll be those 2 issues. But hey, Trijicon KNOWS ppl will still buy 'em, so why change what works, right? After all, here I am asking the question because I’M thinking about getting 1 (mainly because I like the idea of a triangle reticle, & they’re the only optic that has one).
