Haven’t heard peep about this until email from SC. gun rights group. Very concerning in light of current political atmosphere, and thinking PSA would be all over this. Not sure how to approach in forum so if outside parameter i apologize. Here is edited email.

The 125th legislative session in SC has barely gotten underway and weak-kneed Republicans are already caving to Biden’s gun control mob.
Friday morning gun owners woke up to an alarming headline that FIVE Republican lawmakers co-sponsored H. 3013, a dangerous California-Style “Assault Weapons” Ban that could turn hundreds of thousands of law-abiding gun owners into felons overnight.
Fortunately, three of those Republicans responded to us and told us their names had been added mistakenly to the bill.
Sadly, TWO Republicans still have their names this “Assault Weapons” Ban: Rep. Neal Collins, and Rep. Jerry Carter.
I’m asking you to drop what you’re doing and call their offices IMMEDIATELY.

This law, if enacted, will BAN semi-auto rifles such as AR15s and any magazines that can hold more than a handful of rounds.
And if you’re caught in violation of this draconian nightmare, you could face a fine of up to TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS and spend TEN years in jail.
We want to remind our members that as of last night, the Chairman of the powerful Judiciary Committee, Chris Murphy still has his name on the bill, even after telling us it was mistakenly added.
We will watch this development to ensure that he follows through on his promise to remove his name from H. 3013.
In the meantime, call Rep. Neal Collins at (803) 212-6913 and Rep. Jerry Carter at (803) 212-6908 and demand they remove their names from H. 3013 immediately and start supporting your Second Amendment rights!

With the skids greased for “Red Flag” Gun Confiscation, Constitutional Carry on the cusp of passage and the new development of Republican sponsored “Assault Weapons” Bans, I can’t fight this battle on every front.
Palmetto Gun Rights relies solely on the dedication of gun owners like you.
And with South Carolina being rated the most liberal Republican held legislature for 2 years in a row, we can’t take anything for granted.
As it stands, if multiple gun control bills gain traction, I do not have the funds to fight back every attack.
