My personal experience was good through Silencer Shop kiosk at Euro Optic which is local for me. I would suggest a multi-caliber and I selected a Griffin Optimus. You can take it down for cleaning and it works well. My only regret is it’s not a big bore. I did a family trust there too which allows (my wife) others to use it without my presence. It had some nice incentives at the time. My wait was 11 months but that was before electronic filing.
My best advice is to expect to get all the cans you losted there.
You will never be satisfied with only one can. You won’t even be satisfied with one can in each caliber.
You may not even be satisfied with only one for each gun.
It’s like having one gun for every utility and activity you participate in.
My first can was for 5.56, but I shoot my .22 and 9mm cans the most.

If you are looking for .22 can or a 9mm/45, I’d recommend the Rugged Oculus for .22 and either the Rugged Obsidian 9 or 45. The Oculus is stupid quiet. My Gamo pellet gun is louder than my S&W 422 with the Oculus.

I found that Silencer Central has a ton of information on their website. I went with them and ordered my first can (Bannish 30) on 01/12/2022 using their free trust (and e-Filed). This can spent 230 days in ATF jail. Per tracking information it is out for delivery and I should have it in my hands around 12:30 today. I ordered another (Bannish 223) on 05/03/2022 and it’s still in ATF jail (192 days today). I went with the Bannish line for a few reasons:
- Lightweight Titanium
- Caliber Range: Bannish 30-.17 to .300 Weatherby…Bannish 223 Rifles .224 and smaller
- Can be 9" with 8 baffles or 7" with 6 baffles
- Completely user-serviceable
I cannot attest to quality (yet).
So far, my experience with Silencer Central has been positive. I really like the fact that you can make 4 equal payments (no interest) while your can is in jail. Kinda helps ease the pain of spending that much money. This won’t be my last purchase from Silencer Central. I’ll say the second purchase went smoother than the first because they keep your fingerprints on file for future purchases. They also maintain and update your trust as things change.
Only you can decide what’s best for you. Read as much as you can so you can make the best decision for yourself.
Stamp came in today 13 months and 11 days.
I think this one will get me started in 45acp & 9mm. It even says it works with 300 BO.

I have an Obsidian 9 and love it. I can shoot 300blk subs with it but i don’t.
I’ve been lagging on this one. Been so busy (had to get a job, lol). One day I even went to my FFL to pick up PSA goodies and they had specials on cans along with waiving fingerprint and paperwork fees but I didnt have enough time that day and had to grab my stuff and leave

If I buy a handgun suppressor it would useful if it fit on my 1 or 2 handguns.
My Dagger, it says, has 1/2-28 threads.
- I have a 5/8-24 to 1/2-28 adapter.
I know there is some tolerance build-up when you use an adapter.
What size is the through-hole at the center of a Handgun Suppressor big enough to handle 45 ACP ?
Yes, 45 is 5/8. Dont use an adaptor with a can, instead buy the correct piston for your threading. That way you dont risk misalignment on the can. Even the slightest difference in tolerances can lead to a baffle or end cap strike. Pistons are usually less than $100. That is cheaper than risking a repair on the can.

This is what I’m going with for 45acp, 300bo, 357mag & 30/30 lever rifles. I’m adding a dedicated $80 9mm piston and end cap. It will also cover other calibers.
I’m buying through the Silencer Shop, and everything is electronic but I’m doing finger prints by mail to eliminate me having to travel for now.
Silencer Shop ships it in about a week to my dealer where I go pick it up when he gets the electronic stamp back.
I’ve done a ton of research, reading and talking with folks to make this decision and hope it helps with some of the questions you may have.

Well l have been learning thanks to you can owners here, web and at my local FFL…to include the trust. I’ll go to my local as soon as my order from PSA arrives and see how much it’s gonna cost total. They have a Kiosk on site. Gonna start with a 22 can first for 10-22.
Question;
Will l be able to run hyper ammo or subs only?
If so then l can run it on two dedicated AR22. Being rimfire will the can run both pistol/rifle length barrels?
