I’m in King George, and a few friends and I are trying to start our own gun club.
We’ll see how that goes!

Don’t call it a gun club: it’s a private meeting of like minded individuals who pool their money together to support their recreational activities
Any of you Virginia folk have any experience with hunting (birds) at these places?
They are all in VA.

Hey all! Checking in from RVA.
Welcome!

Just needs to look more like Winsome Sears with her AR standing above Terry and King Ralph…
Yale VA here. In Sussex County
Surrounded by commies and gun grabbers in the Democratic People’s Republic of Alexandria and waiting for my blem FDE Dagger with threaded barrel to arrive.
Fairfax here!
Yes, Alexandria has definitely gone far Left.
Late to the party…as usual, but Warrenton shouting out here.
I need a gun range as well. I prefer outdoor and want 200+ …300…500 yards…on a reasonable budget.
100yds is fine, but with a decent target .556 and a .308 I’m looking to test my skills a bit.
BTW - Compton - you might try The Cove campground in Gore, VA. Prolly…60-90 minutes for you (as it was for me). 0-100 yds outdoors, NOT covered, has benches. $25 camp entry fee for all day.
(get there early if you want in on a weekend). I hear they have 200-500yd covered range, but you need minimum of two and $50 for 2 hours, and only open to reservation on certain days. It wasn’t available the day I went, but I talked to the range officer and he says it’s nice with covered stations
By the way - if you go…take your truck, not your lil Honda. It’s way back in the hills past the campgrounds.
I like the cove. I live 10 mins away from it! Avoid it on holiday weekends though - they always raise the prices
I don’t know if any of you guys are skeet/sporting clays fans but if you are this is a great place and reasonably priced. I went there a good bit years ago when I lived in Arlington and it was never crowded. They also have an archery range.
Not the proper thread I’m sure, but since I’m a VA boy… I finally broke down and built a .300BO pistol so I could be like every other gun toting a-hole on the planet…
Surprised at myself for liking the red. That looks sharp.
