Thoughts on Kalashnikov USA filing for bankruptcy

I own a KR103 and a KS12T

Should’ve got a PSAK?

lol

In retrospect, the whole former pornstar doing public relations thing probably wasn’t the sharpest idea.

My son completed a photo shoot for their products not too long ago, never did get paid.

Poor leadership. Took money, promised product, never delivered.

from the VP today

Sorry you got caught up in our company sale - Office and Site (all) is closed down / suspended while KUSA completes a buy/sell of the company - once the new owners are completely in play - we will restart - (hope the web will be up in 1 week or 2?) lots to complete - complex transaction…not selling a 1980 Buick regal!

Stand by – not the norm – VERY extenuated circumstance has pinched you here-

to me more proof that PSA makes better AK’s… after all they’re still in business without ever filing for any bankruptcy’s.

honestly the two that I own are f****** beautiful

To add on this.

Before they took they went under much like the Titanic I was having phone calls with an associate in KUSA last year. Needless to say after several phone discussion (and paragraphs here), I had a feeling they didn’t care about a lot of things, very tone deaf also.

Huge emphasis on being tone deaf if not completely deaf.

As long as PSA keeps making em I’ll keep buying em ^^

palmetto is rumored to be interested in buying…

doubtful with 7 million in debt theyd need to assume.

Would the reddit kids keep screaming about “proper rivet process” if so?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Lol

Predictable. I bought the 9mm AK pistol and the mag latch was defective on arrival. It would not lock the mag in. They made me jump thru hoops to get a warranty repair approved. As if that were not painful enough, some snot nose junior manager decided to weigh in with her uninformed, defensive opinion. The issue had been dealt with and she steps in and pours gas on the fire. So I told K-USA to stick it and fixed the gun myself. I would not buy anything from them again. Even if they survive bankruptcy.

most of what I’ve been reading and hearing from friends is that when Jesse James and his wife took over the ship went really downhill I’ve got two of their guns and I love them I’ve had no issues with them

Seems some mixed opinions here… If there is poor management, it needs to be dumped and re-opened at a later time with good people. I like their products, and own two of them and don’t have any issues with them and find the quality to be great. They have interesting products and I was hoping to see more from them. Perhaps PSA should buy some of their stuff…

i didnt know jessie james and crew took it over… that makes Kalashnikov usa even shittier to me, as it is no longer truly russian to me. i stand by my previous statement that PSA builds better AKs than they do, have, or ever will at this point. They may have made good stuff back in the day before the james clan took over, but that apparently was a short lived run. I’m sure that anything they had that was unique, PSA can produce the same version or better versions of. I’m in case you cant tell, fully confident of PSA’s capabilities when it comes to building AK’s. Every one i have ever owned of their AK’s has been TOP notch, high quality, and very very welel made accurate guns. dont get me wrong, I sure kalishnikov was a leading name once, but that was then and this is now.

Enjoying! the discussion
