Anyone else encounter this problem? If I keep the trigger depressed and slowly cycle the slide, then release my trigger finger for reset, the trigger will return forward but the striker seems not to be cocked. Pulling the trigger does nothing even though it has returned forward. However if I do the same thing but cycle “fast”, the trigger and striker reset normally. Never encountered an issue like this in another striker fired pistol so not sure what the root cause could be. Never had an issue shooting (yet) since shooting naturally cycles the slide “fast”.
I tried it probably a dozen times and mine always functions correctly. While keeping the trigger pressed after firing, and slowly riding the slide back to battery, there is a very audible click when the slide nears full battery. Don’t know for sure but I’m guessing that’s the striker reset. From here, If I continue to ride the slide to battery, then slowly release the trigger, it resets and is ready for fire…
Are you sure the slide is returning to battery and not stopping a little short?
That’s good to know as another sample. I’m definitely fully cycling the action, this is far from my first pistol so that’s not it unfortunately, seems like a defect with my trigger group then
I just received my PSA Rock a few days ago and it’s doing the same thing. When cycled manually it will fail to reset the trigger about one out of ten cycles. When I fire the pistol, it resets the trigger every time. The trigger feels mushy with weak reset click compared to all my other striker fired pistols.
Any help is appreciated.
Well glad to hear I’m not the only one. If I slowly rack the slide, 100% of the time it won’t reset. If I rack it fast, it resets, no idea why there would be a difference. Does the speed of racking the slide affect yours?
Mine will reset when racked slow, I just tryed it as slow and gentle as possible and it worked. Mine just randomly fails to reset when cycled manually. I’m going to take it apart and clean the striker channel and see what happens. I hate to send anything back, but if it happens it happens.
I’m having the same issue with my Rock. Were you able to resolve this yet?
Update on my post about the trigger not resetting when manually cycled, I went to the range and fired 150 rounds of Fiocchi 40 grain and it ran great, trigger reset every time, cycled and ejected every time.
Same problem here, so while depressing trigger I hear the reset but it’s not charged is this because of the delayed blowback design or is this a problem?
Hello guys, same problem if do it quickly no reset.
Any news with your pistols? Also, i had problem when shooting with red dot, i though thats happend because slide was heaver and not enough recoil impulse for trigger reset.
what red dot are you using? Something big and heavy by chance? ![]()
