We have a slide thing

Don’t shoot it. That’ll fix it.

After a few thousand rounds, I’m rather proud of the markings. They’re like a battle scar, a badge of honor.

Funny Guy, AH

I bet you take a screw driver to the side of your NEW Car to show the battle scars .

Aw, Jeezit Priest.

When you have the Monkeys run into a week-old, million-dollar Injection Molding Machine with a Forklift, then have your plant manager up your arse to straighten out the dents without damaging the paint further - come see me. We’ll commiserate together.

I got a rifle made in 1916, it has some scratches and dents

from World War 1. Don’t you think they should replace it? I know it still fires and is deadly accurate, but I can’t be seen at the range with it all dinged up like that. What kind of customer service does Enfield have anyway? Unacceptable.

Just had to shoot it didn’t you?

My Rock does this, so does my Walther and Ruger. My extractor is a little recessed so it doesn’t take the brunt of it the slide does. Character marks. My walther finish is so good it only leaves the brass rubs on it, same with SW.

Battle scars. And I once had a brand new Isuzu Trooper. I took it off road and through heavy brush the first day. It got a few marks down the side, I intentionally did it, so I wouldn’t worry about it. Besides I wanted to put the first dings in/on it. Not somebody in Walmart parking lot…

Why don’t you still have the IZUZU? It must look really good by now , since you took such good care of it.

Sometimes they die early from abuse and neglect correct.

Why change the oil , let the engine smoke , it gives it character, why wash and wax it , also gives it character

Just buy a clunker and be proud of the battle scars on it.

Never take care of anything new, sounds like your motto.

Bonamod Leonard , just a thought. You might have waited to long on your WW1 firearm , to file a warranty claim .

I have no idea what you are going on about. I was young but it was fun. Just don’t worry about what everyone else is doing in life and take care of self.

I agree with you. You have no idea.

I have had the gun for two weeks. Fired it at the range one time , about 30 rounds.
The slide is marked up from shells ejecting.
Don’t have that problem on any other manufacturer, or guns. Have about 15 pistols.

So I did not buy it new to have battle scars.
I expected it to still look fairly new since it is exactly that. I clean my guns after every shooting, and lubricate to prevent any rust.

Sorry you have guns that get scratched up and enjoy seeing them with battle scars as well as others that enjoy seeing new guns scratched up. I am not in your group of battle scars enthusiast.

Thank you for not helping.
