What? Total nonsense. This my 550 dollar smith and wesson 5.7, as I said it has a harder finish not the cerkote type that is like hard paint so doesn’t chip. The 5.7 has a stronger than normal extraction energy, it is a crazy round.
It is the same on many of my firearms. The only ones are the weak Glock extractors, I have shells landing on my hat on my arm in the summer had one go down the back of my shirt.

This may help. I don’t know how much your new Rock 5.7 was when you bought it, but if it was in the last 30 days, and the price is now lower: PSA will refund you the difference between what you paid and the sale price. I bought a .22 pistol a few months ago, then saw it on sale, one phone call and they instantly refunded the difference back to my card.
