Any idea why?

If I were to hazard a guess, I’d go with keeping on theme with too much gas better than not enough? That ar10 spring is pretty stout.

In a .223 gun when using a longer gas system a smaller gas port is utilized. Wondering why the good people at PSA went with a carbine length rather than a (what seems to be the more popular) mid length with a smaller gas port? I’m sure it crossed their minds.
This got me curious, and so my extensive internet research (3 minutes) concluded that the carbine gas system gives the best reliability with the 7.62x39 cartridge.
What say the experts here? I have no idea if that’s valid…
I’d say they make so many barrels (1mil+/year) that it is easy for a 1 size fits all.
