WML hitting trigger guard

I was having problems attaching my Olight Baldr Pro R to the rock. The aggressive trigger guard angle was forcing me to push it away one slot on the rail. But with how the baldr’s buttons work, it puts it too far away to use. I ended up filling down the trigger guard a little bit to get it to fit.

I’m thinking about buying a second rock and don’t want to do this again. Does this happen to all lights or just the baldr?

My tlr1 fits fine. Its probably an olight thing.

Steiner worked fine as well.

I agree on the TLR-1HL. I can also try my Holosun PID later as well. Any chance the olight has changeable keys like the Streamlight? I use a modified P320 key on the Streamlight to bring it even closer to the trigger guard on the Dagger

The Baldr S has a sliding adjustment so you can fit it perfectly. Both the Viridian C5L and the X5L fit and work great on the Rock.

I’ve got a Baldr S arriving tomorrow. I’ll see how that fits. But the problem now isn’t necessarily where it is on the rail, since it’s on the closest one, but the shape of the buttons.

Do you mean a key to mount it to the rail, or a key to activate the light?

The rail mount key.

It does. I’ve switched it out from the default GL key to the 1913 key.

But this does give me an idea. I think i might be able to make longer buttons like the TLR1. Though, that depends on how much Olight designed it with user service in mind.

With the sliding adjustment of the Baldr S you should be able to use the same mounting slot but slide it towards the muzzle just enough so as to not hit the trigger guard. Here is a photo from one of the Rock reviews on the PSA website showing a Baldr Mini mounted on a Rock. The S should mount the same but will extend towards the muzzle more. I’ve also attached a photo comparing the sizes of the S and Mini. The S is only about 1/8” longer, a little heavier but has a 140 minute run time versus the Mini which only has 40.

Just a reminder no buy/sell/trade offers on the forums.

I wasnt insinuating or suggesting a sale or trade offer…thats just one of the lights i usually go with and plan on getting another. It wasnt serious

That actually looks like it works pretty well. Really looking forward to the S now.

I think I’m going to end up doing the same. One of these for every pistol I get. Maybe even rifle since they make the remotes for them.

Baldr S fits with no modification. The buttons are much easier to activate than the Pro R. But the S fits flush on the Dagger so it’s going back on that.

Does anyone know how to disassemble the Pro R? I can see a hinge for what looks like a battery compartment, but I can’t get it open.

TLR-1 HL and surefire xh35 both fit fine. :+1:
