Your 1911 choice and why?

I know what you really want but I also know that you don’t like to have guns that you don’t shoot.

The 1911 that I want is a WWII Singer 1911A1. Singer sewing machine company is the WWII manufacturer that made the least number of 1911A1 at only 500. The Singer 1911 were so well made that the military put Simger to work making much harder things for the war effort. A Singer 1911A1 is what most collectors would kill to have in their collection. As you can imagine finding any real complete Singer is just about a once in a lifetime find. Nobody really knows how many complete Singers there are left in the world. If you wanted to buy an all original Singer the prices on them will really hurt your feelings.

oh yeah… hang on while i wipe up my drool…

as for not liking to have a gun i dont shoot, if you only knew the ratio of ones i’ve shot to ones i havent yet had a chance to, you’d probably scold me for keeping so many unfired. lol.

i’d love to have a singer too… i bet Jamin has one though… heck knowing his collection he may have 2 or 3.
(sadly i am being serious)

Man we serously have to plan a fourm wide trip to see some of his stuff at the Myrtle Beach store. If Jamin was willing and able to attend also he would have to explain some of his acquisitions. I have some knowledge on rare firearms but it is limited. Another bucket list item for me is the NRA firearm museum. I have never been but I have heard that it has an amazing assortment of firearms that covers the entire history of firearms.

I forgot to mention that Jamin is a man after my own heart. You should take the time to enjoy the fruits of your hard earned labor. Like him if I had the money I would spend much of my time doing the exact same thing that he has. Endulge my passion for history and firearms. I guess that if money is no option and you have the wherewithal to purchase rare and wonderful items I would do the exact same thing that he has. One day I would like to express my sincere gratitude to him for all that he has done for the 2nd Amendment and for the firearm community as a whole. I don’t know of many people that has the character and passion to do most of what he has done. I appreciate everything that PSA stands for but to me it goes much deeper than that.

NRA does have a nice museum in Fairfax County, VA. I used to live a few miles from their headquarters. Last time I was there, one of the staff told me that part of their firearms collection is on display at the Bass Pro Shop in Springfield, MO.

i’d be open to meeting up there in myrtle once the museums open to go through it with folks. of course it would have to be planned well for som many of us coming from out of town to meet there.

I dont know if he could take that much time away from his busy itinerary it would be pretty cool though.

I understand that he has a termendous anount of irons in the fiire. He most probably has more important things to do other than dragging us kids around drooling all over his display cases. One good about being your own boss though is being able to take time off when you want to. That is what deligating authority is all about. You surround yourself with good people that have earned your trust. I alway wanted to surround myself with subordinates that knew more than me in their areas of expertise. You alone can’t be an expert in every area. That way I could learn from them and I knew that they knew the best way to accomplish their job. All I needed to do is tell them what the mission or goal was and then let loose the dogs of war. Many times I did inspect what I expected though. I didn’t just go on blind faith that everything would get done. I know people that are intimidated by competant subordinates. I was the exact opposite. That way you know if you want to be off you don’t have to worry about the mice playing when the cat is away.

if i was going to spend 2k on one pistol, it’d might as well be 5k because im going to need it on credit…

I think I’m going to get this for $600

I’m impressed with the other two Tisas’ that I currently own so why not add another.

Gimme your thoughts

Well I ordered it :dart:

i really like the 9mm 1911, it feels amazing

Picked her up earlier today. She’s pretty

Grip is not completely flush with magwell.

Mag release needs a little adjustment.

What do you do, it’s a $600 gun

Wish they made that exact gun in 9mm. Of course, they don’t.

I’m sure they are going to @Don_Keedix :grinning:

have the backof the slide there and pistol area cut for texture of some sort lines/ checkering whichever. works real well and can conceal / repair the back by removing the excess.

Tisas 45’s

1st purchase A1
2. Raider
3. Match

now even still, dont think it isnt, I do like that Tisas in Coyote brown. that thinfg is awesome looking. well done tisas!

@darius51948

So I have not fired a round as of yet.

I have a RMA to send it back to fix the pictured faults. This is the Match model.

I have a Raider model as well, unfired.

My first Tisas was the A1. The fit and attention put into a forged steel $300 gun that shoots really great sold me on Tisas.

Hopefully this will help you out :v:

Happy Anniversary @Jammo! Thanks for what you do here…

Thanks @adambpd
Happy to be here and share the same space with good folks like yourself brother :v:
