Extended length for Optimal coverage - the CN5F is 0.1 inches longer than its predecessor, maximizing coverage of the threaded area on a receiver extension (RE) without compromising backward compatibility. This ensures that even the longest carbine stocks can fully collapse on both the Vltor RE-A5 and our RE5F. Compatibility and Functionality - while the CN5F is specifically designed for the Vltor A5 system, it maintains compatibility with standard TDP spec length REs. However, users should note that the additional length may prevent full stock collapse on these standard REs. Enhanced Staking notches - addressing common feedback, the CN5F features longer and deeper staking notches. This design ensures that once the castle nut is installed and staked, it remains securely in place, requiring deliberate action for removal. This reinforces the original design intent of stability and permanence in critical components.
