The MFP-G (magazine floor plate for Glock) serves as a replacement floor plate/base plate for Glock 9mm and .40 Cal double-column magazines. It is precision-machined from solid 6061 aluminum and features a type III hard coat anodized finish. Specifically engineered for duty and defense applications, the MFP-G's design is function-driven, with a subtle and modest appearance. The only distinguishing features are the side flutes and a discreet Cygnus logo engraved on the bottom, making it nearly indistinguishable from a factory Glock magazine floor plate. Notably, there are no red, white or blue anodized versions of the MFP-G. Most Glock models include a semi-circular cut-out at the rear base of the grip, allowing users to manually strip the magazine from the grip/magazine well if it fails to drop freely. The G17M and G19M models also feature this cut-out at the front of the grip base. The MFP-G enhances this built-in Glock feature by incorporating a front lip with a reverse angle, absent in factory Glock magazine floor plates. This subtle modification provides users with ample surface area and a secure grip to manually strip or pull the magazine from the weapon using both the front and back of the magazine. Additionally, if users prefer to grasp and pull the magazine from the sides, the MFP-G includes two long, wide flutes along the sides, functioning as coarse serrations. There is no prescribed method for stripping and pulling the magazine, the MFP-G offers flexibility by allowing access from the front, rear, left or right.
