Features
The OPF-SW, ACRO, precision-machined from 4140 steel and coated with black nitride, represents the latest collaboration between tangodown and forward controls. This product continues the tradition of offering reliable, duty-grade, precision-machined steel optics interface plates featured in both companies' product lines. The OPF-SW, Acro is specifically designed for Smith & Wesson M&P CORE 2.0 and M2.0 pistols. Key considerations for optics interface plates include tolerances, material and mechanisms to prevent sight movement during recoil. While tight tolerances minimize movement of the plate on the slide and the sight on the plate, this alone may not suffice. For older sights, such as the RMR, which have relatively loose tolerances, the fences on our plate are engineered to secure the sight and prevent movement. Although newer sights like the DPP and RMRcc do not require fences, we incorporate them whenever feasible.
- Material selection is crucial
- For optical interface plates, both Tangodown and we exclusively utilize military-grade steel for all our plates
