Designed without a spring-loaded detent for the front, the TGF employs a reliable set screw mechanism similar to Magpul's, complemented by a standard trigger guard roll pin at the rear. This design choice ensures a secure and stable fit, with the roll pin providing unmatched reliability and resistance to loosening over time. Both versions of the TGF feature a thoughtfully engineered canted front edge, facilitating smoother Magazine insertion into the mag well. The winter version is specifically designed to maintain a consistent space from the trigger bow forward, avoiding the typical tapering seen in other designs, which can restrict access. This ensures optimal functionality even in colder conditions where gloves might be used. The rear space of the trigger bow is intentionally minimized, as it is not intended for finger access, maintaining a sleek and low profile. The TGF is tailored for compatibility with TDP spec forged lower receivers, effectively bridging the gap forward of the pistol grip and between the trigger guard "ears." Unlike traditional TDP spec trigger guards, the TGF does not swing down, offering a fixed and secure configuration. All sharp edges and corners have been meticulously removed to enhance user comfort and safety. It's important to note that lower receivers manufactured from Cerro Forge "keyhole" forgings, as well as those from Colt, LMT and BCM, typically feature taller trigger guard ears, which the TGF accommodates seamlessly. The front set screw, requiring a 1/16 Allen wrench, sits flush with the receiver, ensuring a clean and unobtrusive appearance.
