This iconic shoulder system, originally introduced by Galco predecessor, "The Famous Jackass Leather Company," in 1970, has been revitalized to cater to today's gun carriers. The horizontal holster offers adjustable positioning, allowing for a diagonal carry angle distinct from our Miami Classic or MCII designs. It securely attaches to the harness using our swivel connectors, ensuring a reliable fit. Designed with versatility and comfort in mind, the Original Jackass Rig features a streamlined yet secure ammo carrier. The Premium Center Cut Steerhide harness offers unparalleled concealment options, along with enhanced adjustment and comfort. The harness incorporates four pivot points, each meticulously crafted from center-cut steerhide, independently pivoting and interconnected by our signature clover-shaped Flexalon swivel back plate, a distinctive Galco feature. The Original Jackass Rig includes the holster, harness, ammo carrier, and a set of harness fasteners. This rig is fully modular, allowing gun carriers to purchase optional accessories and components as needed, such as tie-downs. Tailored for semiautomatic pistols, the two-tone Jackass Rig is available in both right and left hand draw configurations. The black holster and ammo carrier create an appealing contrast against the tan harness, delivering a blend of timeless design and modern functionality.
