The breaking points visible on the jacket control the deformation and ensure the bullets effectiveness. The 7 mm Rem. Mag. was introduced in 1962. It belongs to the family of the so-called magnum cartridges. This calibre is suitable for repeating rifles with standard systems. Until today, hunters have used this calibre in Europe, what is to be attributed to a more extended trajectory and consequently higher velocities as opposed to the 7 x 64.
