Following the recent amendment by the civilian marksmanship program (CMP) to the service rifle rules, which now permits the use of optic sights, traditional scope mounts have proven inadequate. When shooting from a position and using a sling, conventional mounts are often too elevated for an optimal cheek weld and fail to provide the necessary forward scope adjustment for proper eye relief. These Super Precision high-power mounts address these issues with an ultra-forward scope position and a height of 1.35 inches above the picatinny rail, enabling effective use of scopes such as the Nightforce Comp SR 4x24. Constructed from a single piece of 7075-T6 aluminum, the mount features a mounting surface that spans five picatinny sections and incorporates four shear lugs. The mounts employ Geissele's enhanced version of the traditional nut and bolt method for securing the mount to the picatinny rail, ensuring the most secure and repeatable attachment of your scope to your firearm. For applications beyond national match shooting, the high-power short scope offers a robust cheek weld and its forward scope positioning remains compatible with standard eye reliefs. The high-power long scope is recommended exclusively for national match shooting.
