Crafted initially for the American market, the SUP (universal self-loading pistol) has gained international acclaim for its precision and exceptional reliability. Its design draws inspiration from features favored by us law enforcement and military personnel, featuring uniquely American controls influenced by iconic designs like the Government model 1911 pistol. Over 30 years ago, HK pioneered the use of polymer materials in handgun production with the VP70Z and P9S pistols, utilizing a fiber-reinforced polymer frame reinforced by stainless steel inserts in high-stress areas. What sets the SUP apart is its frame-mounted control lever, serving as both safety and decoking lever, a departure from slide-mounted safeties common in many semi-automatic pistols. Equipped with a modified Browning-type action and a patented recoil reduction system, the SUP effectively mitigates recoil impacts on pistol components and minimizes perceived recoil forces for the shooter. This system's durability has been rigorously tested and validated through the HK mark 23 pistol designed for the U.S. Special operations Command. It remains resilient to ammunition variations, requiring no specialized adjustments or maintenance, and operates seamlessly across all SUP models.
