Built-in directional microphones amplify range commands and other ambient sounds to a safe 82dB to provide more natural listening while enhancing communication. For protection, the Impact Sport actively listens and automatically compresses amplification when ambient impact sounds reach 82dB, and passively blocks out noise at 22dB.
