Features
The bolt carrier pin package features our enhanced cam pin, firing pin and firing pin retainer pin, each redesigned to maintain all critical mil-spec dimensions while enhancing durability, finish and functionality. These pins are standard components in all our custom rifle and upper builds. The JP enhanced cam pin retains essential mil-spec dimensions but offers improvements in design and finish, resulting in a smoother operating system with reduced overall component wear. Our enhanced cam pins are machined thicker than the typically undersized standard pins and receive a low friction QPQ finish. Standard undersized pins fit easily but create slack between the bolt, bolt carrier and cam pin, leading to stress on the cam pin hole during cycling and common bolt breakage. This looseness also accelerates cam pin wear as the carrier erodes the material at bearing points. A tighter pin with a low friction coating significantly reduces this wear. Additionally, we precisely maintain the upper receiver-to-cam pin width to ensure proper bolt alignment with the barrel, minimizing premature lug wear on the barrel extension.
