Machined from 7075‑T6 aluminum, this BackCountry cross‑slot base delivers an exceptional strength‑to‑weight ratio for a very light yet durable scope platform. The cross‑slot geometry provides flexible ring placement and positive engagement for both Picatinny‑ and Weaver‑style rings. Supplied with two screw kits (8‑40 and 6‑48) for straightforward installation, the base is cut to fit Savage short‑action receivers.
