The NiCorr-treated, cold hammer-forged barrel features a 1:7 twist rate to stabilize a wide range of bullet types, while its distinctive spiral fluting reduces weight by 20 percent and increases surface area for faster cooling. The IC-A5 is exceptionally reliable, thanks to the patented LWRCI short-stroke gas piston system, which is renowned for its durability and ease of maintenance. A nickel-boron coated bolt carrier enhances wear resistance, corrosion protection and permanent lubricity, while the LWRCI Enhanced Fire Control Group features nickel-Teflon coated components for a smooth trigger pull with a crisp reset.
