Lyman Pro dies establish a new benchmark for reloading die performance. Engineered to accommodate the high volume of Mark 7 presses, every component of these precision dies has been meticulously designed for optimal performance. They are also compatible with standard Progressive presses, as well as turret and single-station presses. The primary focus was on the material selection for the dies. The sizing, seating and crimp dies are constructed from stainless steel, chosen for its durability and corrosion resistance, effectively eliminating the issue of rust. The sizing dies feature highly polished carbide rings, offering exceptional wear resistance and reduced sizing force. Additionally, the sizing dies incorporate a spring-loaded decapping rod system to ensure the primer is efficiently ejected from the primer pocket. The rifle sets include the renowned M die neck expander, featuring a two-step expander plug for precise neck tension and case mouth flare. The pistol sets come with a flare die designed to allow bullets to sit correctly on the case mouth before seating. The micrometer seating die features a micrometer-adjustable seating head for precise bullet seating length and its floating bullet seating punch centers the bullet on the case, minimizing excessive run-out. Each set is also equipped with a micrometer-adjustable taper crimp die to completely remove any case mouth flare and enhance bullet retention.
