Have to modify
Bought this for a savage bolt action set up for AICS mags. I had a genuine metal mag and wanted a spare. However genuine AI mags are very expensive. I have tons of magpul Pmags for both my AR15 and AR10 and love them. So I figured I would give this one a try. They are very reasonably priced compared to the AI mags.
It was not a direct drop in mag. First it would not lock into place until I took a file and shaved a tiny bit off the locking tab. It was just a little too far down on the mag body. Then I had to lightly bevel the feed lips with a file because the bottom of the bolt was rubbing it pretty good. After these two mods it seemed to fit and function normally.
After I got it working I really like the mag. It does not scratch the cases like the metal mags do. However I had to knock it a couple stars because of the mods I had to do to get it to function. So all in all I am happy just be aware you may have to mod it to make it work properly.
