The Midland T71VP3 X-Talker® Two-Way Radio Kit is a pair of FRS portable radios designed for clear, long-range communication over hills, trails, job sites, and events. Each radio includes 36 channels with an additional 14 extra channels and 121 privacy codes for up to 2,662 channel combinations to help reduce cross-talk with others. The radios include features such as a backlit LCD display, HI/LO power settings to balance battery life and range, a weather alert function with weather scan, silent operation, auto squelch, and eVOX hands-free operation with adjustable sensitivity levels. The kit includes rechargeable battery packs, a desktop charger, AC wall adapter, micro-USB charging cable, belt clips, and an owner’s manual, and both units are water-resistant. Midland lists up to 38 miles maximum range in open, unobstructed areas, and the radios are compatible with other FRS/GMRS devices.
