The North American Arms Sidewinder is a precision-crafted mini-revolver that stands out for its innovative swing-out cylinder, which allows for quick and efficient reloads without the need to remove the cylinder. True to NAA's commitment to quality, the frame starts as an investment casting, with the barrel and cylinder machined from solid stainless steel bar stock for superior durability and exacting tolerances. This meticulous machining ensures exceptional fit and finish, with a polished cylinder and frame sides, while the matte finish on the topstrap, barrel sides, frame bottom and backstrap creates an appealing contrast. This five-shot, single-action-only revolver features an exposed hammer and an unguarded trigger for a sleek, compact design. The bird's-head grip profile matches the dimensions of other Mini-Revolvers and accommodates optional stocks for personalized comfort. Due to its unique internal design, the Sidewinder opens to the right side of the frame. To access the cylinder, the hammer is first set to half-cock and the knurled end of the ejection rod is pushed forward to release the cylinder. After opening, the ejector rod is depressed to partially eject spent casings, although the compact size of the revolver requires each empty case to be removed individually, with the cylinder rotated to allow the casings to clear the stock.
