Our AR barrels are designed to enhance performance and reliability in the AR platform. With our caliber matched gas system (CAMGAS), each gas system is precisely tuned for the specific cartridge and barrel length. The AR-15 platform was originally designed for .223 Remington and 5.56x45mm cartridges, while the AR-10 was intended for the .308 Win/7.62x51mm round. However, with higher-performance cartridges like the 6.5 Creedmoor, bore pressure remains higher further down the barrel. By adjusting the port location, we ensure that the gas system pressure matches the original design specifications of the AR platforms. This results in a noticeably softer recoil impulse, reduced fouling in the receiver, increased reliability of extraction and less wear and tear on brass. This design keeps you on target and shooting smoothly while taking full advantage of the latest high-performance cartridges.
